HVAC Pipe Sizer - Gas High 4.5

The "HVAC Pipe Sizer - Gas High" application offers a streamlined approach to sizing high pressure (> 1.5 psi) gas piping systems by allowing users to input various piping and gas properties.

This application is compatible with both iPhone and iPad devices, automatically adjusting the interface to suit different screen sizes.

Users can define critical parameters such as total gas flow in ft³/hr (m³/hr), upstream pressure (psig or kPa), and one of either downstream pressure (psig or kPa), pipe internal diameter (inches), or gas velocity (ft/s). The application provides detailed results, including both exact and nominal pipe diameters along with calculated velocity and total pipe equivalent length. For existing pipe systems, users can input the internal diameter, upstream pressure, and either downstream pressure or gas velocity to ascertain calculated gas flow and other relevant properties.

Additional specifications can include the type of gas, various gas properties, pipe material type, total pipe length, and quantities for up to 11 distinct types of pipe fittings. The application allows users to toggle between English and metric units for convenience.

This tool is equipped with built-in tables detailing equivalent lengths of pipe fittings and nominal sizing for a broad array of pipe material types and diameters.

User interaction is enhanced through slider controls that facilitate quick adjustments to input values, allowing for immediate observation of resultant calculations. Manual input of exact values is also supported.

An added feature is the HVAC Equipment Locator, providing tools for locating necessary equipment efficiently.
